The Childhood Language Center of Orange County (CLCOC) is a charitable non-profit speech and language therapy center, a program sponsored by the Scottish Rite of Santa Ana.
We provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to children ages three through 21 who have speech, language and/or hearing needs, at no cost to families.
What is the CLCOC?
-an outreach program of the California Scottish Rite Foundation
-a fun place to learn to talk and speak through play and evidence based therapy with licensed Speech Language Pathologists and Speech Language Pathology Assistants
-a family-focused environment where children increase their communication skills and build self-confidence
What services are provided?
-Complete speech and language diagnostic evaluations from age 3
-Individual or small group speech and language therapy services
-Parent Education-Hanen certified, "It Takes Two To Talk"
-Consultation and Interagency Collaboration
-Certified in Interactive Metronome
Who makes referrals?
-the CLCOC receives referrals from many sources, including parents, schools, county agencies, health professionals, and other centers.
How do you enroll a child at CLCOC?
-Call the CLCOC at (714) 972-2646
-The Center Director will return your call. An intake interview will be scheduled within 6 weeks. Please provide copies of IEPs/IFSPs and any Assessment Reports from prior evaluations in advance of your scheduled appointment.
-If appropriate, your child will be scheduled for therapy or placed on the wait list
-Therapy sessions are once per week, 45 minutes per session. The CLCOC is open year round, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 12:00pm-5:00pm.
